Navigating Amended Privacy Requirements

The Securities and Exchange Commission is holding the second of three virtual compliance outreach events regarding the 2024 adoption of amendments to Regulation S-P. This session focuses specifically on transfer agents, with staff from the Division of Examinations and the Division of Trading and Markets covering new compliance obligations, examination processes, and providing opportunities for compliance questions. The Regulation S-P compliance outreach series is tailored for each registrant type and scheduled according to corresponding compliance deadlines.

This virtual outreach event addresses transfer agent compliance requirements under the amended Regulation S-P framework. SEC staff will explain new obligations, clarify examination expectations, and answer compliance questions to assist transfer agents in meeting their regulatory deadlines.
