As the UK’s Cyber Security and Resilience Bill enters its committee stage in the House of Lords this month, a new poll suggests more organisations are nowhere near ready for its toughest new duty. VinciWorks surveyed 156 IT, compliance and security professionals in September 2026 and found that only one in ten (10%) are confident they could meet the Bill’s tight new breach reporting deadlines.

Nine in ten compliance, legal and financial services professionals (90%) lack full confidence that their organisation would spot a sanctioned individual hiding behind a shell company or a complex ownership structure, according to a new poll of 146 professionals by compliance training and software provider, VinciWorks.

Nearly one in three compliance and data protection professionals (31%) do not know when their organisation last reviewed its main GDPR risk assessments. That is according to the latest findings from a survey of 198 professionals carried out at the end of May 2026 by VinciWorks, marking eight years since GDPR came into force.

A survey of 334 compliance professionals across the UK’s regulated sectors by compliance eLearning and software provider, VinciWorks, has found that more than half (57%) of firms have either not started preparing for the 2026 amendments to the Money Laundering Regulations or are unsure of their current position, with only four per cent saying they have new policies ready to go.

A poll of 276 HR, health and safety and compliance professionals has found that just under a third (29%) of organisations have committed to publishing a menopause action plan in 2026 or 2027, while most remain uncertain or unprepared.

New research conducted by VinciWorks, the compliance training and software provider, has revealed that the majority of UK organisations are unprepared for the Data Use and Access Act (DUAA), with widespread uncertainty and a critical lack of training, leaving companies exposed to compliance breaches.

A VinciWorks survey conducted at LegalGeek 2025 reveals that cultural resistance and cost are the most significant barriers to law firms adopting modern compliance technology. Despite widespread recognition of the inefficiencies in manual systems, many legal professionals continue to rely on spreadsheets and ad hoc tools due to budget restraints and the fear of change.
