Axiom GRC Launches Complete Business Resilience Platform
A first of its kind business resilience platform has entered the global Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) arena. Axiom GRC has launched today, backed by £500m private equity investment and having integrated different GRC capabilities to offer the most comprehensive GRC solution on the market.
Formed from the 2024 £430 million acquisition of Marlowe PLC’s risk software and services division by leading European private equity firm Inflexion, Axiom GRC launches with over 50 compliance products, 40,000 clients and 2 million users.
The venture is led by Alex Dacre, founder of Marlowe PLC and orchestrator of its GRC division, which accounted for more than 40% of Marlowe’s profits before being acquired by Inflexion.
Dacre exited Marlowe to lead the creation of Axiom GRC, aiming to establish a complete business resilience platform designed to enable responsible and sustainable growth of SMEs and enterprises.
“The burden of responsibility on businesses is greater now than it has ever been,” said Dacre. “We recognised the clear opportunity for a market-leading, full-service GRC platform and this attracted strong private equity backing. There is growing demand for GRC support as businesses navigate increasingly complex and regulated environments worldwide.”
Through its group of companies, Axiom GRC delivers high-quality technology and advisory solutions that support businesses of all sizes across every aspect of compliance and risk – including health & safety, employment law, environmental risk, cyber security, ISO certification, enterprise risk, eLearning, and supply chain compliance. This combination of proprietary software with deep human expertise will help businesses navigate what it describes as ‘riskflation’ – the growing volatility and expanding risk landscape facing organisations.
Across Axiom GRC’s companies, clients benefit from the calibre and expertise of more than 1,200 highly qualified professionals. Their deep industry knowledge is unmatched, reflected in market-leading client success rates and 90%+ retention levels.
The Axiom GRC companies are:
- WorkNest – employment law, HR, and health and safety
- Vantify – health and safety, computer aided facility management (CAFM), and supply chain compliance
- VinciWorks – compliance eLearning, software and advice
- CoreStream GRC – Governance, Risk & Compliance platform
- IMSM – ISO certification
- Bulletproof – cyber security, information security and data protection
- Pentest People – cyber security, information security and data protection
- Barbour EHS – regulatory intelligence
Clients include large businesses like Bentley, Shell Energy, and Tesco, public sector bodies including NHS England, and thousands of SMEs across all sectors.
“Our platform has a proposition for every GRC need that a company of any size within any sector could have. Through one gateway, Axiom GRC addresses all the modern challenges faced by businesses, empowering them to focus on what matters most while we manage the risk and compliance burden,” said Dacre.
Axiom GRC is unique in its ability to repurpose the same market-leading software used by multinationals for the needs of SMEs. For example, its health & safety, ISO, and e-learning software – originally developed for senior risk and compliance leaders in large organisations – now also power solutions tailored to small businesses. This means both global enterprises and local SMEs benefit from GRC tools built to meet their needs.
Looking ahead, Dacre outlines Axiom GRC’s international ambitions, “As one of the longest-standing and most heavily regulated economies in the world, the UK has a strong heritage in GRC. Other territories are playing catch up with GRC solutions and the calibre of advice, experience and tools we have here.
“GRC is high on the agenda in many regions – such as the Middle East due to its rapidly growing infrastructure and global supply chains – and across much of the USA. We plan to take our sophisticated technology and services international, including continued growth in North America where we already have a strong foothold. Our ambition is for Axiom GRC to be recognised as the GRC platform of choice – the gold standard for business resilience.”
