"ICO Rejects Open Rights Group Report on Handling of Pandemic Data"

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has responded to the Open Rights Group's report, expressing disagreement with their views. The ICO stated that their priority during the pandemic was to ensure that organisations understood how data protection laws could help them react to the emergency situation. Their ultimate goal is to protect people's rights and assist organisations, which all of their activities, from providing advice to issuing fines, are aimed at achieving.
