The SEC highlights the importance of financial capability by launching new resources and hosting events for Financial Capability Month. Investor.gov is a free, interactive website with educational tools and resources that help people become informed investors. The SEC has added quiz classroom activity for teachers, HoweyTrade investment program, investor alert, videos on fraud prevention, and articles about saving and investing to help people make smart investing decisions. Furthermore, SEC organized planned events for Financial Capability Month targeting a wide range of groups from high school students to military members, Native Americans, older Investors, women’s groups, libraries, colleges, and more. Their goal is to create an environment where everyone can learn how to make informed decisions related to their finances.
