The 42nd Annual Government-Business Forum on Small Business Capital Formation was an online event hosted by the Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation on April 24-27 2021. The four virtual sessions focused on topics related to capital raising, building entrepreneurial ecosystems, investing in small business, and accessing public markets. Speakers from across the country analyzed the trends and strategies of capital raising, explored the opportunities and challenges facing smaller funds, and offered insight into becoming and staying publicly reporting. Discussions were aimed at addressing unique challenges faced by minority-owned, women-owned, rural, and natural disaster area small businesses and their investors. At the conclusion of the forum, the attendees gained valuable knowledge and information to guide their efforts to facilitate economic growth through investments in small businesses.
