Ensuring Protection of Personal Information in International Transfers: Innovative Strategies to Enable Growth

This blog post discusses the importance of protecting people's personal information when making international transfers. The International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) and Addendum to the European Union Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) have been published to provide certainty that the right level of protection is in place. Guidance is being developed to show how to use these documents, as well as extending the TRA guidance tool with worked examples. Listening sessions will be held next year to learn from businesses and organisations who have used the guidance and TRA tool, which will allow for continuous improvement.
